Starboard Yacht Group's proprietary integration architecture, trade secret portfolio, and the factual timeline of our transition to independent marine engineering.
Request Independent AssessmentStarboard Yacht Group developed proprietary integration architecture that combines gyroscopic roll stabilization with active interceptor ride control. These trade secrets solve the "system fighting," voltage sag, and response lag problems that plague single-brand, closed-loop installations.
Our integration bridges the NMEA 2000 network of the gyro and the interceptor control computer. Instead of interceptors reacting after boat list is detected, the interceptor blades deploy preemptively using the gyro's instant roll-torque angular velocity data, slashing motion response lag to under 15ms.
Gyros draw massive current during startup and high wave surges. Our smart DC-to-DC alternator coupling system actively tracks engine RPM, matching power intake to alternator surplus. This prevents voltage sag on critical navigation systems without running a generator.
We engineered a safe, lightweight, non-flammable Sodium-Ion (Na-Ion) battery buffer system specifically for stabilization cycles. This buffer handles the extreme high-surge discharge of the active ride blades and keeps the gyro spinning silently overnight at anchor.
Interceptors extend automatically on inside turns using gyro roll-torque feedforward, reducing centrifugal roll and ensuring a flat, comfortable bank. Standard installations react only after the roll is detected.
A factual, chronological record of Starboard Yacht Group's work with gyro stabilizer systems and our transition to independent engineering services.
Starboard Yacht Group today operates as an independent marine engineering firm. We evaluate, assess, and optimize stabilization systems from all manufacturers. We do not install systems as a dealer, we do not hold manufacturer certification, and we do not represent any brand. Our trade secret portfolio is independently owned and freely deployed across any brand of gyro or interceptor our clients choose.
